We take an integrative approach

The Virk lab studies the molecular mechanisms that regulate cell and tissue states during development and disease. Our research seeks to understand how cells acquire, maintain, and modify their molecular phenotypes in response to developmental and pathological signals. We address these questions through the integration of animal models, human cellular models, bioinformatics, and multi-omic approaches.
